Fashion Show Invitations

these invites really rock my socks! (did I just really say that?) Lately I’ve been hitting a wall when it comes to thinking outside the box. Some of these unconventional correspondences reminded me of how you can really push the envelope when it comes to creativity. ;)

Paul Smith’s fan-shaped invitation kept guests cool

Yohji Yamamoto’s invitation came printed on a plastic white bow

A handkerchief hat invitation declared John Galliano’s love for his show inspiration: Charlie Chaplin

The Hermès invitation came printed in a distressed font on tracing paper

Extra thick card for Yves Saint Laurent’s S/S invitation

Partially hidden behind a sticker, Raf Simons’ invitation spelt out: ‘How we would celebrate our fifteenth anniversary with you’

A perforated grey strip peeled back to reveal the guests name on DSquared2’s invitation

Dolce & Gabbana’s invitation came hand-written on embossed paper (**I love this classic, traditional, PERSONAL invite)

Calvin Klein’s minimalist invitation featured indented text (**so very CK)

An angular typeface on green plastic for Prada

Maison Martin Margiela’s acrylic stencil ruler set the tone for a geometrical show (**my favorite!)

D&G’s invitation came in a brown paper bag (**always a love for kraft :)

A simple, hand written note stamped with Viktor & Rolf’s seal (**to the point.)
